TO ANNOUNCE THE gospel of salvation for mankind which God procured by the atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, through social media and print outlets—tracts, bulletins, and books.
This is our sacred trust.
Vision Statement
TO CAUSE THE LIVING entity called human being to come to the full knowledge and understanding of himself, who he is, what he is and his spiritual condition before and after the fall and the afterlife existence and thus appreciate the need for salvation that is in Christ Jesus and the second birth [born-again] through the simplicity of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Also, to apprise, prepare, and alert the saints of the second advent of Christ (rapture) through expository teachings about the circumstances and events [signs], as they unfold, that will eventually bring about the rapture of the saints and in effect the antichrist, his activities, the final show down in the last day and the eternal triumph of holiness over evil.
Biographical Notes
RUFUS E. UDUEBHOLO is called, anointed and sent by God to the last Church Age (the Laodicean Church) as a Prophet Messenger. He is devoted to proclaiming the gospel of salvation and preparing the Church for the imminent return of Jesus Christ.
Born into a devout Roman Catholic family in Bendel State, now Edo State, Nigeria.
His father helped established the only catholic church hitherto in his village during the colonial era. The reverend father of the church who was a white man lived in another far away village. So, the weekly activities of the church were left in the hands of his father to run.
His father was the catechist of the church; too. His ambition had been to become a reverend father someday.
Somehow, the ambition was unrealized due to reasons known to him.
Without doubt, the young Rufus, who is the youngest of four siblings, took after his father.
In early 1970s, his father moved to Benin City where he had gotten a job at the University of Benin and Rufus was enrolled in St. Thomas Primary School in 1974. However, they were not attending church like most others in the community.
One day, during break time, he and one of his classmates were strolling beside the football field; then, suddenly, he saw a church in a distance and exclaimed:
“See church!” ‘’There is a church in this place!”
“I will attend on Sunday.”’ He said.
True to his word he attended the following Sunday.
This is how he became a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Benin-City, where he had been a staunched, devout, worshipper of God. He had nursed the idea of becoming an Altar Server. So, in 1977, while in primary three, he enrolled in Baptismal classes and his father gave him money to buy a catechism book of which he memorized a great part of it by rote.
He studied for one year attending evening classes, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. When the time came for examination heavy blinding, lightening streaked, thunderous rain started training that day, electric poles fell, within minutes darkness fell upon the land, everywhere flooded. He could not proceed, midway to the church he turned back home.
So, he lost the chance of being baptized.
Many attempts to be baptized proved futile. Frustrated, in 1980, he left St. Paul Catholic Church and joined Assemblies of God Church. The move had been to get baptized there and returned to Catholic Church.
However, man proposes; God disposes. God arrested him in Assemblies of God Church.
Vision Of Jesus Christ
Somewhat in 1983, not yet born again, in a dream, he found himself at the middle of a lonely, endless, unknown desert. Sudden like, the Lord Jesus appeared to him in mid-air not far from the top of his head. He was dressed in a white robe. He stood at the side of Jesus, afraid to look at his face.
Jesus said nothing…just stood, gazing in one direction.
He did not know the meaning of the revelation.
He became actively involved in all the activities of the church—Sunday service, Sunday School, Bible Study, prayer meeting, youth meeting, group evangelism, visitation, he missed them not.
Assemblies of God Church doctrines only specializes in the teaching of holiness, sin, prayer, evangelism, heaven, hell and the second coming of Christ [rapture]. These doctrines were ingrained in him and became part and parcel of him and helped to shape his Christian walk.
Vision of the Devil
In the same year, not quite long Jesus appeared to him, the devil also appeared to him in a dream, a grotesque, black, hideous creature. Sparks of fire emitting from his scaly body. he faced the devil squarely.
the devil said nothing, did nothing. Just staring.
He never knew why those revelations were revealed to him. Not knowing that God was telling him to choose betwixt God and the devil.
1983 was the turning point in his life. Two of his closest friends, during youth revival service, got baptized in the Holy Spirit and began speaking in unknown tongues. But himself was not filled with the Holy Spirit.
He was deeply depressed. He went home crying. In the bathroom, he broke down and cried bitterly. He pleaded and confessed his sin before God. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior there in the bathroom.
Baptized By Immersion
He enrolled in baptismal class and attended classes for one year. At the end of the year examination was conducted and he passed and was baptized in 1983, by immersion.
Again, Jesus appeared to him low down in the air slightly above his head. Facing Him closely and squarely this time, Jesus began speaking to him in unknown tongues of which hitherto he knew not.
This meant he had chosen Jesus as his Lord and Savior and Jesus would begin to reveal deep things to him.
Baptized In the Holy Spirit
For about three years, he fasted, prayed and asked God for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
In 1985, during revival service he was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
One day, in 1985, during revival service, one of the invited ministers, within Assemblies of God Church, called him out by word of knowledge [1Corinthians 12] that God had ordained him as a prophet, evangelist and a teacher to the nations. He answered the altar call and was prayed for at the altar.
The Call
In early 1986, while still in Assemblies of God Church, he joined an interdenominational group called Commandos for Christ. The group members were drawn from various denominations. These were young men and women between the ages of late teens and early 20s. They had given up worldly ambitions to serve God only.
For about two years he continued with them in prayer, fasting and vigils.
The first night he joined them, they had prayed all night till five a.m. and praying for each person had begun, as the usual custom was, when it got to his turn, they started praying for him while he closed his eyes, sudden like, he saw an arm-chair of pure wood, brownish in color, on the bare seat of the chair flame of burning fire stood on it without consuming the wooden chair! like Moses’ experience in Exodus chapter three.
Mystified, he opened his eyes, saw nothing. He closed his eyes and saw the same vision again. Then he exclaimed:
” I can see a brown wooden arm-chair, fire burning on the seat without consuming it!”’
Several prophecies broke forth that God had been calling him and that he had not accepted the call of God.
So, he asked:
‘’How can I accept the call of God?’’
‘’Continue coming to the fellowship.’’ They answered.
He did.
That is how he joined the group and continued in prayer, fasting and vigils with them for circa two years till the fellowship broke up.
Nonetheless, he continued with them mostly in vigils. One day—when he had spent about three months with the group called Commandos For Christ—at about five a.m., rounding up prayer for each individual, it got to his turn and as they were praying for him he saw in a vision:
A room, inside the room a wooden desk and a wooden arm-chair engulfed in huge flames of fire that reached up to the ceiling and he saw himself walked inside, sat down on the chair and started writing. All what he was writing were fire, book, pen, what he scribbled were burning with fire!
Terrified! He told them.
He needed no prophet to tell him that he had answered God’s call.
Undoubtedly, he has been called into teaching ministry along with prophetic and evangelistic ministries.
When the group died, he enrolled in a Bible school in 1988 as did many of them, All Nations For Christ Bible Institute International, under the tutelage of Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory.
Ministerial Activities
As a student, he and his classmates followed the archbishop to several places for evangelistic activities, within and outside the State.
After graduating, which was a year course, he assisted in founding some churches and fellowships.
Pastored The First Church
In 1989, he became an assistant pastor in a church he had helped founded and christened for one year.
In 1990, he resigned from the church, as he had told them he would at the end of one year. In January 15 he went into 100 days fasting and prayers.
His two prayer points were: power and ability to teach. On the 75th day of the fast he fell into a trance. ”He saw a white woman sitting on a stool bathing a white baby boy on her laps. On the baby’s bare back flame of fire was burning.”
Startled! Wondering at the sight. A voice spoke: “This is William Branham.” As suddenly as the vision appeared, it vanished from sight.
He did not know the meaning. So, he started praying for the meaning.
Less than a few days he fell into a trance and a voice spoke:
“Were you not praying for power? “That is power.” The voice said.
He woke up.
Mind you, he had heard of William Branham, but he had not seen his books for the Pentecostal Fathers had banned his books labeling them heresies.
After he was through with the fasting the first place he visited the following day was the fellowship he had helped founded of which eventually became a church. He met a young pastor there. The man asked him if he had heard about William Branham of which he answered in the affirmative. Then he related to him of what he had seen and heard in the vision about Branham.
‘’Would you like to have his books and tapes?’’ The pastor asked. ‘’Of, course, yes.’’ he said.
That is how he was introduced to William Branham’s works.
________
In 1993, he moved to Lagos and became an assistant pastor of a young church that he helped named The Triumphant Assembly.
In 1998, he had a dream:
‘’William Branham with another man appeared to me. He stretched his two opened hands to me. In his hands was a big coconut that had been cut open above the middle. Inside the coconut was plenty water.’’
”Branham said to me: Take and drink.”
”I took the coconut from him and at first drank little of the water, then I attempted handing it over to him, then I hesitated and drank much from it again before handing it over to him.’’
Branham received it from me and asked: “Why did you drink much from it?’’
‘’I drank much from it because I wanted to acquire much power from you.”
I said.
‘Stay by your ministry.’ Branham advised me.”
After that, he paused reading his books for a while. Then he started asking questions as to how William Branham died. He met someone who recommended to him a book titled “God’s General” written by Robert Liardon.
He bought it, read it and discovered not only how he died but also some of the controversial teachings that had made Pentecostal fathers prohibited his books. The controversial teachings are less than a few: ”The serpent seed is the original sin”, ”Trinity” and ”Forever and Everlasting”, and some knotty issues about women.
However, he soon found out that the Pentecostal Fathers’ hatred for William Branham and everything about him stemmed from jealousy. For he preached against their excesses—hypocrisies, false teachings, extortive tendencies, formalities and worldliness— in the church.
However, in the last analysis, he founded Announcing Jesus’ Gospel Ministry Inc., in Lagos, 1993. After pastoring the young church for one year he went back to school and left it in the hands of those he had mentored.
In order to spreading the good news to all men, The Jubilee Trumpet [www.thejubileetrumpet.org] and The Prophet Messenger [www.theprophetmessenger.org] are both social media blogs he created through which expository teachings, prints and videos, are being disseminated.
By all accounts, Rufus is gifted beyond the usual ability with considerable dexterity in expounding the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Temptations: Oil Company [Chevron] And Bank Jobs Rejected
Moses of the People of the Book was offered the throne of Egypt to become the king of Egypt, the greatest nation in the world at that time. He rejected it choosing to identify himself as a slave with his people. Hebrews 11: 24-26.
In the same vein the Lord Jesus chose the cross rather than accepting the world and its lust. Hebrews 12: 2
In like fashion in 1998, the Medical Director of Chevron for whom he had been praying offered him the opportunity to work with Chevron, he turned it done!
Also, he was given the opportunity to work in a Bank, the then Standard Trust Bank the following year, he also rejected it!
Nonetheless, about ten years later when hardship fell upon him, he regretted his move, like any other person could have done, it is natural.
How He Met His Wife
A staunch believer and practitioner of holiness. He never had a girl friend throughout his secondary school, Bible College and University days. For he believes in one thing at a time. For he knew if he had a girlfriend when he was not yet ready for marriage there was no one chance in a million he would not fall into the act of fornication. He believed if you miss it in marriage, it will affect your ministry.
He was very careful about the question of marriage and selection of a spouse.
So, when he felt it was about time he got married he went into fasting and prayer for one year—going to Ikoyi Mountain in Osun State to fast and pray, first week of every month for one year, Monday to Wednesday dry fasting and Thursday to Saturday regular fasting before returning home.
One day, in one of the dry fasting he had a revelation in the afternoon. He saw the underground world of hell, portrait pictures of several ministers of God were hung up in a row on the wall. The first framed picture on the row was his own. Above the framed pictures was written an inscription:
“WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE.”
Satan stood and pointed a finger at his portrait picture and said to his demons audience:
“He has escaped everything; the only thing remaining now is marriage. If he escapes it; then, he has finally escaped us.”
There is no wonder that his growing up days were full of terrible trying times. Yet, God saw him through. Romans 8: 37
In other words, all the trials and temptations he threw at him; he escaped all remaining marriage. And if he married the right one, then nothing can bring him down. So, they should make sure he married the wrong person.
That was the devil’s plot. By the Lord Jesus he failed woefully. He has escaped the devil forever to the glory of God.
Nonetheless, he had a revelation that he was standing at the edge of a football field as one of the spectators watching football game.
Suddenly, the ball rolled out of the field and bounded right onto his foot.
Then, a voice within him spoke:
“This is how your wife will come to you.”
The he woke up. That is how it happened, actually.
One thing the devil does is that when one is requesting something from God Satan quickly brings his own counterfeits first to confuse the person. Yet, with the discerning of spirits one can easily detect the fraud.
Twice he almost got entangled with the wrong ladies. However, he escaped with the help of God.
First, with a sister in the U.K. Second, another lady with a British citizen in Nigeria.
One day, his minister friend in his area relocated to f another place. He came and dropped his new address at his house. He went to traced his friend’s new address. A young lady opened the gate for him. God spoke to his heart: “This is your wife.”
In the last analysis, his friend brought the lady to his house.
Eventually, they got married in 2005.
A Vision of An Arm
One day, circa 2014, a close pastor of his they had been together in Commando for Christ called him telling him how much he had prospered. For he has great material possessions: large church buildings, commercial buildings, mansions, fleet of luxurious cars and jeeps and money.
This pastor preaches only money gospel, prosperity and motivation messages and he employed devious means to exploiting and extorting his church members.
On the other hand, he preaches and practices holiness only, with which no one can see God; yet, things were tough for him and his family.
So, when this his pastor friend had finished, he became sad and confused whether he actually preaching the right gospel, whether he should abandoned holiness gospel and follow prosperity and motivation gospel.
He was confused.
He was in the toilet contemplating these things when suddenly an am appeared. In in his hand was an ancient black metal gong stretch forth to him. Then, a voice spoke: ”Announce Jesus:”
As suddenly as it appeared, it vanished from sight.
After this divine encounter, he changed the name of the ministry to: Announcing Jesus Gospel ministry.
Trials And Hand Lifters
Without doubt, God never promised anyone that when He calls someone into full time ministry that it would be all pleasures. No, my friends, He never did.
The Christian walk and ministry are full of trials and temptations; albeit God will see him through from all of them. Psalm 34:19.
Like many holy men of God experienced great trials and hardships. He was not exempted. He had belly full of hardships and trials, too. Yet, the Lord saw him through.
When he got married in 2005 major supporters of his ministry left him. They were catholic members who were patronizing him seeking for solutions to their problems. As soon as their problems were solved, they left him without qualms.
Being a full-time minister of God, with wife and children to cater for it was not easy to say the least.
His wife stood firmly by him. She sold everything in her business to support the family.
The truth is, he is not one to ask favors from folks around, so, in 2019, he went into 100 days fasting and prayers to discuss the matter with God why things were hard and what to do. Barely a few days into the fast God spoke to him to contact someone he had once pastored in 1989 in Benin City with whom he had lost contact. For she had traveled overseas. The young lady had been a disciple of his ministry, a believer, a loyalist and a staunch financier way back in Benin City.
Believe me, he said, when you are around this person you will never go hungry, she is that sort of person. She can spend her last dime to meet the needs of others and rather go hungry.
He had lost contact with her since 1993.
In mid 2000—social media like Facebook and others have not yet been introduced—he had searched for her in search engines platforms to no avail. He had paid cybercafes’ attendants to help search for her but yielded no results.
Unknowingly, she also was searching for me through search engines networks and physically coming to Nigeria since 2003 to search for me and to attend to some other personal issues.
In year 2019 during his fast, social media networks have been developed, God spoke to him thus:
“Why can’t you search for her in Facebook?”
After a few trials he got her and wrote her these few words:
“…I wrote her name, how are you? Quite a long time, we lost contact.”
Two, three days later she replied.
In his words: ”To tell you the truth that marked the beginning of the turnaround in my life, family, and my ministry
He continued, ”Since 2019 we had reconnected she placed my family on monthly support and gave my youngest son scholarship to attend a catholic school, one of the best schools around.”
Above all, she helped set up my social media ministry: supplying all the gadgets needed including laptops, phones—-Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 14 ProMax along with Samsung Galaxy Tablet A7 and Ph Laptops.
She also helped in setting up my office for the studio. Twice she paid to set up my WordPress Blog. The first one the developer refused to hand over my cPanel of the admin of the blog of which made me to abandoned it. In 2025, again, she paid to set up the second Blog.
She also bought clothes and phones (twice) for my four children and wife (Samsung Galaxy Note 9). Also opening bank accounts for them into which she remits money occasionally. Made International Passports for me and my two sons. The lists of what she has been doing and still doing till now are endless.
Nevertheless, the roof of our church that had been a thing of shame, for it was all rotted up and sagging, she sent me greater part of the money along with what others gave to me to roof the church with modern roofing materials.
Since I had no experience with the modern roofing materials the roofers bought fake materials to roof the church that left it worse of than before.
So, we needed to change the roof again.
Being a pensioner, she could not foot the bill alone so convinced her eldest brother to roof the church the second time which was very costly because of hyper-inflation—-running into several millions of naira.
He did it to the glory of God!
Mind you, supporters within the ministry and outside the ministry— entertain no hard feelings that he only wrote about a particular person without making reference to you and your support.
Your supports are great and fantastic, believe me, he declared.
Believe me, God sees you, recognizes your great support as a sweet smelling aroma before Him. Be assured, my God will reward you.
Truth is that this essay is not meant to document what everyone have supported and still supporting the ministry. No, otherwise, the writing would have been too lengthy.
As he said, he wrote about this fellow for two reasons: first, God specifically told him during his fast to contact this fellow with whom he had lost contact since 1993. Second, that the testimony here might inspire someone who might be passing through similar condition that he had experienced to take the same action that he had taken and got results from God.
Nonetheless, he concluded, it is good when passing through difficulties to commune with God about it rather than to go around asking for favors from folks. Except one is specifically led by God to do so.
Three Stages of Ministry
Kenneth E. Hagin wrote in one of his books that there are three stages of ministry. Implying that individual ministers should endeavor to identify theirs by the Holy Spirit.
Rufus had been able to identify the three stages of ministry of his ministerial walk and the stage he is now. He believes he is in the third and last stage of his ministry.
The first stage of his ministry he had been through spanned from 1983 to 2006.
As I said before, he joined Assemblies of God in 1980 and left in 1987; however, he was not born again until 1983. So ,this stage had been when he gave his life to God and had been involved in almost all the activities of the Church—-group and personal evangelism, itinerary church activities within and outside to the time he joined the group called Commando for Christ; enrolling in a Bible College; pastoring a church for one year and finally relocating to Lagos where the work of God continued until he got married in 2025.
The second stage started in 2006 and ended in 2025.
This period, he had become relatively sedentary, devoting much of his time to his church and less of outside ministrations. Much of this period was dominated by personal fasting and prayers in camps and mountains, vigils in his church and households.
In this period, he started writing tracts and bulletins of which he shared in different places.
The first tract he wrote was in 1999: ”The Ultimate Sacrifice”
Believe me, people are still requesting this master piece till today.
The third stage commences in 2025.
This is the time he set up blog websites to reach greater audience—believing that the church had gone beyond the four walls of a building.
With the coming of the internet and the social media he felt he could take advantage of it and spread the good news of salvation to all and sundry.
However, when this period will terminate only God knows.
As far as that goes, it will for sure ends well by the Lord Jesus Christ who called him, ordained him, consecrated him, and filled him with His Holy Spirit.
Mentors
He is an avid reader of books not only of Christian literatures but also of circular ones that profits him.
One day, in early year 2000, he was in the parlor with a family he had led to Christ in 1986, phone call came in from London. The call came from their eldest sister. She asked who were those present in the house for she wanted to send something home through someone who was visiting Nigeria. She made everyone present to order for anything they desired.
Each ordered for clothes, stock fish, money, et al. but when it came to his turn, he ordered for two books written by Kenneth E. Hagin: Man in Three Dimensions and The Triumphant Church.
They are still in his bookshelf up till now.
That was more than twenty years ago.
That speaks of his yearning for truth and knowledge.
Like other ministers of God, he has his own mentors that he model his life and ministry after:
Kenneth E. Hagin: his doctrines are centered on faith and holiness.
William Marrion Branham: his doctrines are centered on holiness, end-time messages and correcting the excesses of ministers of the gospel in the body of Christ:
Yonngi Cho: his doctrines are centered on prayers, church growth and holiness.
Watchman Nee: his doctrines are centered on spirituality and holiness.
He first came across Kenneth Hagin junior’s book in his friend’s house in 1985: ‘’How to make your dream come through’’. He borrowed the book, read it and fell in love with it.
That aroused the yearning in him for other Christian literatures. For that was the first Christian literature he had read and started him questing for more.
He heard about Yonngi Cho in Assemblies of God in 1985 before he bought his book: ”The fourth Dimension” in the late ’80s.
In 1986, while with the group Commando For Christ he heard about William Branham and other great men of God and came in contact with his works in early ’90s.
Nonetheless, his library is stocked with their books and that of other men of God.
Afterword
In his words: By the the Lord Jesus Christ, at the end of my ministry, like apostle Paul, I shall declare and say:
2 Timothy 4: 7-8
”I have fought the good fight, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.”
Glory to God!
thanks for the time.
So long.
the Prophet Messenger.
